I am King Loki Laufeyson of Asgard. I am God of Mischief and Lies.
I am married to my beloved Sigyn, Queen of Asgard and Goddess of Constancy.
I will answer any questions but I cannot guarantee an honest answer.

“Selvig?” Sigyn queried. “But he is merely a scientist, is he not? Not a warrior? Why would he wish to do such a thing? I saw little in your memories that would prompt such a thirst for vengeance. Barton perhaps, but one such as Selvig would surely consider the knowledge he gained to be some benefit.” As they passed through the door that led downward into the dungeons, the guards nodding in respect as they passed, Sigyn went over the memories Loki had shown her. Although it was not pleasant to think of her beloved Loki doing such things, she had to work past her own feelings so that they could find the truth behind this plot.
'He is easily manipulated.' Loki replied simply, 'He would not do it for revenge but merely for interest and the potential to understand something new of the universe.' They walked down to the dungeons, Loki trying not to react as they walked past the cell that seemed to be reserved solely for him. He remembered vividly Thor sewing his lips in there but stopped the train of thought almost as quickly as it had started.
They approached the cell, Loki quickly adjusting his stature so he seemed more like the king than himself. A servant ran up and bowed. ‘Your majesty, the prisoner is talking.’ Loki nodded. ‘I have been informed hence my presence.’ He looked down at the servant and walked past heading towards the cell.
“If not in Asgard, then where? What realm might have the desire and the means to make an attempt on your life, my love?” She paused and stared up at him as an idea occurred to her. “You don’t think… the mortals? But I thought the Avengers have largely abadoned their active hostility toward you.” She shook her head. “I suppose we should question him if we wish to get any real information. Shell we, my dearest?” She took his hand in hers and gave it a little supportive squeeze. She said nothing of the danger, but as they left she began running through her mind all the offensive spells he had taught her.
'The Avengers perhaps but their leader, I believe Thor called it SHIELD . They have Selvig and I have no doubt he would find a way if it was necessary.' He looked at her. 'But yes, I believe that will be the best course of action, anything else is just blind speculation.' He smiled at her, squeezing her hand in comfort and walking out of the hall heading towards the dungeons and answers they had been waiting months for.
“Of course I worry about your safety, my Loki. What kind of wife would I be if I did otherwise?” She gave him a dry look that quickly changed into a loving smile as she reached up to smooth his sleep-rumpled hair. “That they would try such a thing at all is a surprise. Imagine the dishonor of what he tried to do. Who could expect such a thing from Asgard’s citizens?” She shook her head and wrapped her arms around his waist, cuddling close to him and held him for a short time before looking up to answer his final question. “The servant arrived only a minute or two before you woke, love. He had only just told me the news.”
He smiled at her ‘I have an idea that it was not a plot conceived in Asgard. He is an Aesir yes and Aesir should be too respectful for that. I have a feeling he was bribed in some way. I may be wrong but I feel it is the only reason.’ Loki leaned into her hug looking down at her affectionately as she spoke. ‘Well then, let us wait no longer.’ He smiled, covering up the worry he felt underneath that this was a trap. He knew that both he and Sigyn were both skilled enough in magic to stop any attempts but it still bothered him. There were people in this realm, even now, that wished him dead.
“I thought you might,” Sigyn bowed her head once and came to his side to look out the window with him. “Yes, that is a good plan. But my love… this man tried to kill you. Would it not be better that you not go near him?” Even as she said it Sigyn was sure Loki would go anyway, but worry still made her stomach tighten and her breath short. She had never been so frightened at any time in her life as she was at the moment she realized that someone was trying to kill the man she loved. That man, that prisoner, had come so close to taking away Sigyn’s happiness before it truly began. Why had he wanted Loki dead? Many in Asgard resented that Loki became king rather than Thor, but for most of them that discontent was nothing close to the sort that resulted in political assassination. So why this one?
'Don't worry about my safety my love, I can protect myself when necessary. My name day was a surprise, now I am expecting it so I can ensure I am not harmed.' He smiled at her turning and kissing her gently. He was worried about why they would want to kill him. It had obviously planned but he was confused as to why they had chosen his name day instead of his coronation.
Smiling at Sigyn he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her again before squeezing her hand and looking back out of the window. ‘How long had the servant been at the door before I awoke?’
For a fraction of a moment Sigyn considered lying, telling him it was some minor matter she could handle herself, but she knew he would spot the lie in a moment and it would damage his trust in her. Besides, he would be very displeased if he missed the chance to question the prisoner while he seemed willing to cooperate. She shut the door and went to his side, sitting with her back to the door and giving Loki a gentle ‘good morning’ kiss before telling him quietly, “They say the prisoner is willing to talk. I was about to go question him myself. I would prefer you get more sleep,” she smiled wryly, knowing how unlikely that was, “but if you wish to go then I am coming too.”
Loki smirked then nodded, his face slowly turning solemn as he thought. ‘I wish to come my love, I have a few questions to ask him.’ He got up and out of bed, changing using magic. He walked over to her, returning the kiss and walking over to the window to look out at the day. ‘It is too early for breakfast it seems but we can perhaps have it later? After we have spoken to the sole inhabitant of our dungeons.’ He looked over to her as he asked, wanting to know what she thought before they came to a decision.
Sigyn awoke in the early hours of the morning, before the sun had even arisen. She was not sure what woke her, but she didn’t mind. It gave her a chance to lie in bed and simply watch her beloved husband sleep. Loki looked so peaceful when he slept, and she carefully propped herself up on her elbow so she could gaze at him, adoring everything about him.
My husband. My Loki. She was still awed by the thought, but it was true. They were wed now, and he was her husband, and she his wife and queen. Despite the sometimes unnerving requirements that came with being queen, she still thought it a more than fair trade for having her Loki permanently in her life.
She debated giving him a kiss, but Loki slept so lightly that she knew it would wake him, and especially since becoming his queen, she made a concerted affert to ensure he got enough rest. It was not always an easy task between affairs of state and Loki’s insatiable pursuit of knowledge, plus the time he spent with Sigyn herself.
A knock on the door made her sit up, scowling with displeasure despite the quiet, timid quality of the knock. She glance at Loki, then got out of bed and opened the door to find a sheepish-looking servant standing there.
“Forgive me for disturbing you, my queen, but the king commanded he be notified immediately when the\is news came.”
“Yes, what is it?” Sigyn asked impatiently.
“It’s the prisoner, my queen. He’s ready to talk.”
Sigyn froze, going a bit pale at the mention. The prisoner had attempted to assasinate Loki, and Sigyn herself had foiled it the attempt, in the process revealing her sorcery to all of Asgard. She had no regrets about that; the though of how close her beloved Loki had come to being killed still made her chest clench in fear.
“Very well then. Wait for me and I shall come down to hear him.”
'Did you mourn?'
'All of us did?'
The dream was a mix of memories from his time on Midgard and assorted moments from Asgard. His attempted assassination, finding out he was a Jotun, being thrown from the Bifrost…
Loki woke with a start and to voices coming from the door, he rolled over to look at Sigyn to only find her space empty. He sat up, leaning on his elbow and finding her at the door, agreeing to do something.
'Is everything ok my love? Why did they need to disturb us at this hour?' He sat up more, trying to glean as much information as he could from her expression.
“I would be surprised if they did. After everything you did.”
“Sigyn, so that’s her name? Is she from Asgard like you?”
'Yes, she is the Goddess of Constancy and now Queen of Asgard. As well as being the kindest and most beautiful woman in all the nine realms.'
“It doesn’t compensate, you’re right. But what’s done is done. And…I do forgive you. I hope you realize I still can’t trust you at the moment.”
“In that case, like I said, he’s doing fine. Thanks. And you and your family?”
'I understand, there are very few people in this realm that do.'
'That is good to hear. Sigyn and I are very happy thank you.'
“Not in your right mind? What does that even mean? My dad didn’t come home for months and I was told he was dead up until a few weeks ago and all you can say is that you’re sorry? That you weren’t in your right mind? I already grew up without a mother. My dad was all I had left and you almost took that away from me completely.”
“He’s doing fine. Do you really care or is this just a formality?”
'I was being held hostage by the Chitauri. I understand that does not compensate you for your father's absence but I hope it will help you forgive me, even if I am not worth it.'
'And yes, I was genuinely interested.'
